Alifa’s Tiramisu recipe- An Italian Dessert!

Tiramisu is a pure Italian recipe. It’s quite famous in Rome. So, it’s basically made in the most popular restaurants in Italy. There are a number of Tiramisu recipe out there. The moment I had Tiramisu in Rome, I made up my mind to make it my way. But I was a bit worried about the taste. I thought the best Tiramisu is only available in Rome until I made it by myself. So today I’m going to help you out to make the best Tiramisu recipe at home. So, let’s get started!

Well, before we start to make it, we need a few ingredients. You might be thinking that we might need some fancy ingredients to make this fancy Italian dessert. But don’t worry! All the ingredients we need are already in your kitchen.

Brown Round Cake on White Surface

Ingredients:

  • 20-24 lady finger biscuits
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of strong coffee
  • 2teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Gather all the ingredients we need and follow the directions below 

Directions:

  1. At first make the expresso coffee and set it aside.

2. By using double boiler process, whisk egg and sugar properly until it changes the color. After that keep it aside for cooling.

3. Now take a bowl and beat the whipped cream perfectly and then add the mascarpone cheese and then beat it until it is mixed perfectly. Then add the egg yolks mixture.

4. Now take a pan or anything where you will make the Tiramisu. Dip the lady fingers into the coffee and now create a layer without any empty space (with the dipping lady fingers) in the pan. Spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the bottom layer of the lady fingers.

5. Repeat the process for 2times or for how many layers you want and try to get a solid layer and flat the cream nicely.

6. Cover the tiramisu with the plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for 20-24 hrs. Just before serving, dust it with unsweetened cocoa powder.
